The sport of softball has been a grand tradition in the City of Omaha for some 60 years.  Softball has made, without question, a significant economic impact in our community.  But the contribution of softball to Omaha goes beyond simple dollars and cents.

It provides an outlet for fitness and physical activity and encourages every Omahan to lead a healthier lifestyle.  The social interaction with teammates leads to life-long friendships and fosters a sense of teamwork that undoubtedly carries over in to the work place.

In short, softball adds its own contributions to improving the quality of life enjoyed by all Omahans regardless of whether they are involved in the sport.

But it’s the people who make softball special in Omaha.  Throughout the years, thousands of softball players have made immense contributions to the sport not only as players, but as business and civic leaders as well.

Metro Omaha Softball honors those individuals with its Hall of Fame.  Included on this page are the photos and biographies of the members of the Hall of Fame, which was founded in 2007.

We invite you to browse this page and read about some of the exceptional people that make the sport of softball in Omaha so special.
